Hello Dolly: Nostalgia Organics

I cannot get over how cute, how adorable, how incredibly girlie these luxury organic soaps and gifts are. Through the miracle of Twitter, I stumbled upon the Nostalgia Organics collection and was sucked into the world of Charlotte and her aromatherapy doll friends only to find out that these girls were born in my own backyard of Scottsdale, AZ. I haven’t gotten my hands one on yet but trust me, I’m working on my order right now. Can you say stocking stuffer? Or maybe I’ll use them in lieu of bows on Christmas packages. Doesn’t matter. I must have one of each. Oh, and the story gets better. The creator of the line, Elea, is not only a crafty chick (she finishes her creations with tiny velvet bows and silk ribbons) but she uses high quality, exotic ingredients in all her skin-softening soaps and potions. Products are 100% natural and are made with antioxidant-rich fruit, nut and herb oils sourced both locally and from places as far away as Bulgaria and France. Each collection is enhanced with aromatic plant oils carefully considered for their aromatherapy and skin-nurturing benefits. Charlotte for example spreads joy with essential oils of pink grapefruit and jasmine while her galpal Dorothy offers comfort with a blend of wild rose, ylang-ylang and sweet orange. Not a single stitch of her delicate creations contains questionable ingredients such as petroleum, parabens, lauryl or laureth sulfates, detergents, synthetic preservatives or artificial colors or fragrances. Plus, her products are packaged in heirloom-quality tins, apothecary jars and gift boxes that are either recyclable or reusable. Love that. I predict good things for this joyful little company. Okay, that’s all for now. I’ve got shopping to do! Shop for Nostalgia at nostalgiaorganics.etsy.com or follow Elea’s blog at www.nostalgia.typepad.com. Photo: Meet Charlotte and the girls. Organic aromatherapy dolls come packaged in vintage-inspired apothecary jars tied with a satin ribbon, seven dolls per jar, $24-$25.
