OH. MY. GOSH. I love the new Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara from L’Oreal Paris. How much do I love it? Let me count the ways. One, the two-sided applicator includes a nourishing base coat that primes the lashes in a white creamy formula that allows you to visibly see that your lashes are evenly coated and separated. Two, the ultra lengthening top coat completely envelops each individual eyelash in a rich, deep color that truly does extend the length of the lash. Three, the fat and fluffy brushes on both sides are comfortable in your hand and easy to to use. Four, the long-wearing formulation doesn’t smudge, flake, run or smear. Five, the mascara washes off easily with warm water and without leaving a trace of residue. Six, you don’t have to hunt down the mascara and can find it at your local chain drug, food and mass market retailers nationwide. And seven, the retail price is an easy $10.95 — the least expensive tube technology mascara that I’ve found so far. Overall, the mascara makes true on its claims to create dramatic, sweeping lashes that mimic the look of pricey eyelash extensions. My only warning is to take your time with the application of the base coat and make sure that lashes are well separated. The only drawback of tube technology is that layering on more than one coat of the tubes doesn’t really work but if you follow directions and start with a carefully applied base coat, the end result is truly amazing super long flirtatious, full lashes.
