Go from blah to summer bombshell with these three super simple summer hair and makeup looks. A shout-out to the hair stylists at Drybar for teaching us how to create these chic and classy hair DOs!
1. A Day at the Beach: Soft Waves + Bronzer
No time for a day at the beach? Fake it until you make it with soft, messy waves, a dash of bronzer and a touch of color on the lips. For hair, create loose waves by twirling hair around a barrel curling iron and leaving the ends straight. Finish the look with spritz of sea spray and a small amount of shine-enhancing pomade on the ends. For makeup, apply bronzing powder to the areas of your face where the sun would naturally hit. Use a wide, fluffy powder brush and dab it on the top of forehead, lightly along the nose and chin and sweep across the cheeks and neckline.
Try: Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray ($22 at select salons), Drybar The Chaser Shine Pomade ($28 at thedrybar.com) and Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder ($28 at benefitcosmetics.com).

2. Pretty Pony: Perky Ponytail + Bright Lip Gloss
Cute and classy ponytails were made for summer picnics and outdoor excursions. Start by creating volume at the crown with a touch of hairspray and teasing comb. Then, use a paddle brush to sweep up the hair in a high ponytail. Once your pony is in place, wrap a small section of hair from the bottom of the ponytail around the base and pin it in place. Use a large barrel curling iron to give the ponytail a final twist and finish with an all-over spritz of a shine hairspray. For makeup, add drama to the lips with a bright pink or coral finished with a light gloss.
Try: MorrocanOil Luminous Hairspray ($22 at moroccanoil.com), Jouer Hydrating Lipstick in Whitney and Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer ($22 and $14 at jouercosmetics.com).
3. Bohemian Chic: Messy Bun with Braids + Green Eye Makeup
Anything goes with the Bohemian look. A side French braid finished with a loose chignon or messy high bun finished with a braid at the base. You can use a mesh hair “donut” to keep your bun in place or use a faux clip-in braid. The trick is to make it uniquely your own. For makeup, illuminate your eyes with the color of the year, emerald green. Use a deep green as a contour above the lids or use a lighter shade along the lids. Get creative! The key is to let your eyes be the center of the drama and go with a light lip and pinch of color on the cheeks.
Try: Hot Buns styling tools ($10 at buyhotbuns.com) and L’Oreal Colour Riche Shadow Quad in Neon Skirt ($6.99 at target.com).
