Spa Sonic Skin Care System: The Other Skin Scrubber

01/10/2014 by Samantha McIntosh

Spa Sonic Skin Care System

When it comes to skincare, if it’s complicated, you’re going to lose my interest … Fast! While I totally value the importance of proper skincare, I’ve got things to do. Oh, and did I mention that I have five-month-old? Give me something easy, inexpensive and effective and you’ve got me for life. Enter the Spa Sonic Skin Care System. Now this is the skin scrubber system that works with my lifestyle!

The Spa Sonic Skin Care System is a 7-piece face and body polisher that uses interchangeable heads for a complete head-to-toe experience. The waterproof design makes it easy to keep in my shower so I can incorporate it with an already established routine with minimal effort.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was all the fun attachments I was going to get to play with. The Spa Sonic system comes with a small facial brush, large body brush, facial sponge, pumice for those rough areas and the hand-held device. The kit also comes with batteries so it’s ready to go, right out of the box! Like a kid on Christmas morning, I immediately wanted to test it all out, so I wasted no time (Did I mention I’ve got things to do?).

The small facial brush, used for cleansing and exfoliating has some of the softest bristles I have ever felt. This, combined with the circular motion of the device, made for quite a relaxing treat during my cleansing routine. I followed it up with the facial sponge, used for fine lines and skin elasticity improvement. I chose my favorite moisturizer and applied it to the sponge. This led to some globs of moisturizer on my mirror (oops!) so I recommend applying the moisturizer by hand, and using the sponge to work the product into the skin.

Next up, the Spa Sonic body brush attachments. The large brush has the same soft bristles as the facial brush and is perfect for both body wash and sugar scrubs. Again, the circular motion and soft bristles felt fantastic and really helped get the most from my sugar scrub. I finished up with the pumice attachment on my feet, which were in desperate need of a pedicure. I stepped out of the shower, and began applying lotion … one routine I am particularly good about. It was at this point that I noticed how much softer my skin was. I typically have dryer, rougher skin than I would like on my legs, but as I was lotioning up, I noticed a significant difference on my thighs.

Needless to say, I was impressed with the Spa Sonic Skin Care System. And, at a significantly lower cost than similar products, affordable luxury is a good thing. Shower time has not been the same since. In fact, I have even found myself using less lotion after each shower.

And I know what you’re thinking. How does the Spa Sonic compare to that other skin scrubber? Here’s an informative video from truthinaging.com.

The Spa Sonic Skin Care System is available in pink, white and purple and can be purchased at most mass retailers or online at myspasonic.com. Prices vary by retailer but keep an eye on Target, where they occasionally put it on sale.
