Summer Spaaah Wins AzTEC Event of the Year Award!

I’m tickled pink to share the exciting news that the Summer Spaaah Series was awarded Event of the Year for Events Under 20,000 Participants by the International Festivals and Events Association-endorsed APS AzTEC Awards! The AzTEC competition (AzTEC is short for Arizona Talent in Event Concepts) recognizes outstanding examples of festival and event production and promotion in the state of Arizona. Summer Spaaah also won Gold in the Best Color Print Ad for Events Under 20K (thanks for your super cool ad work Spa Boy!) and our lead volunteer, Kimberly Witt, was honored as Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. What an honor for all of us! Our very special thanks to APS, the panel of judges and the fun folks at AzTEC and Downtown Tempe Community for the recognition. The Summer Spaaah Series is a Phoenix-wide phenomenon that unites top spas and salons with local residents through onsite spa parties. The series is an annual fundraising event produced by Arizona SpaGirls and Chat, Chew & Chocolate to benefit Fresh Start Women’s Foundation. Through ticket sales, T-shirt sales, raffles and donations, the 2007 Series raised a whooping $15,000 for Fresh Start’s Self-Esteem and Inspiration Department.
