Adventures in Procrastination with JamieO Skincare

Today is clearly one of those days that I should be working, not goofing off. Hence, that’s why I’m a goofing off and not working. I started the day reading another chapter of There’s A Slight Chance I Might Be Going To Hell: A Novel of Sewer Pipes, Pageant Queens and Big Trouble by Lauri Notaro – a former Phoenician with a serious talent for wickedly funny self-deprecating humor (read it and let me know if you don’t laugh just once!). Then I made a stop in the bathroom to dab off the dribbled cereal from my shirt (a side effect of wickedly funny self-deprecating humor) and glanced in the mirror. What I saw made me realize that work would just have to hold onto its britches just a little longer. Staring back at me was a dry, scaly mug brought on by a rash of intensely hot, zero percent humidity days. Time for the big guns: JamieO Skincare’s Vitamin C home micro treatment. Laced with the most heavenly orange Creamsicle aroma, the smooth tiny crystals unhinge the dead skin cells from their happy homes. Then on went the warming, slightly foaming Activator. After a few minutes of pacing and thinking about my to-do list, I rinsed and finished with JamieO’s Rewind Time Daily Vitamin C Serum and a dash of sunscreen. Now I’m not saying that I look like a pageant queen but I will say this: Gone are the patchy, reptilian signs of midsummer desert skin and in its place is a glowing, ruddy complexion that makes feel, well … pretty.
